2.31 Phonetics: consonant sounds /ʃ/ /ʧ/ /Ʒ//dƷ/

This unit revolves around the topic of LEISURE,/ˈli ʒər, ˈlɛʒ ər/ so we have chosen to practice   the sound/Ʒ/ that together with 3 other  related phonemes/ʃ/ /ʧ/ /dƷ/  can be difficult to identify and pronounce to Spanish and Catalan speakers.

Now a catchy tune, Madonna’s Love profusion, to make you learn voiceless and voiced palato-alveolar fricatives while singing along.  There are plenty  of/ʃ//Ʒ/in this song.

You will also find just one voiceless palato-alveolar affricate /ʧ/ that has slipped in.
